Aircraft Transfer Records Working Group (ATRWG)

Description

The aircraft transfer records working group (ATRWG) is responsible to identify, evaluate and develop electronic data exchange standards for information associated with the return and re-delivery of an aircraft, engine or major asset. Spec 2500 includes descriptions and XML Schema for such records. Among those published are AD status, SB / Mod status, Repair/Damage records, Tracked Installed Parts List, Last Done / Next due maintenance status, Major Asset status and Major Event History. Besides status data, the group has developed an electronic CRATE which allows metadata to be applied to various other historic non-XML document such as PDFs, images, etc. The use of these electronic records is envisioned by lessors, lessees, buyers and sellers, including importing the data into the receiving operator’s systems to reduce errors and rekeying of data.

The group is currently primarily focused on a “Component Passport” which will be a digital history of key events and operating data for an individual part, including rotables, LLPs and Removable Structural Components.
