Automated Identification & Data Capture Working Group (AIDCWG)

​Description

The Automated Identification and Data Capture Working Group (AIDCWG) focuses on adapting automated identification technologies such as RFID and Data Matrix to various Aerospace business cases. Its primary focus is on Unique Identification of Aviation Objects such as aircraft parts, and the traceability of those parts during their lifecycle.

The group will focus on working with other functional business areas to improve efficiency and reduce errors related to data capture for business processes such as logistics, parts receiving, and various maintenance processes where identifying and capturing data about a component or other maintenance process can improve efficiency.

This group was formed by a merger of the prior Traceability Working Group and RFID Working Group.
